| CAR RENT GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS |
Reservations
- The reservation of car rental service to be fulfilled with "Hertz Yerevan" office. The Hertz Yerevan office operating hours are 10:00am - 19:00pm during regular working days. Reservations are accepted by phone, fax or e-mail or through the website. Reservation could be confirmed for requested classifications (i.e. midsize, economy, etc.), not for specific vehicle models. However, every effort will be taken to meet customer's specific requirements. A valid personal passport, international driving license and credit card of major system are required to rent a vehicle from Hertz in Armenia.
Rental Period
- The minimum vehicle rental period is 24 hours. There is no maximum limit for vehicle rental. The 24-hour Rental Day begins from the moment the vehicle is picked up by the customer. In case when the customer's daily rental period is exceeded for more than one hour, another full day will be charged. Chauffuer-drive service could be paid on an hourly bases.
Rental Rates
- All Rental Rates include vehicle maintenance for the entire rental period (excluding car wash and refueling expenses) and Third Party Liability Insurance with coverage up to US$500.000 per occurrence. Rental Rates may also include additional services and/or taxes.

Driving Restrictions
- Driving outside Armenia is allowed only upon the prior written permission by an authorized Hertz personnel only. Such permission must be stated in Rental Agreement.
Rental Qualifications
- All drivers must be at least 25 years of age with a minimum of one year driving experience. Drivers under the age of 25 may be authorized to drive A class automobiles for an additional Young Driver's fee of US$15 per day. An additional driver may be autorized by Hertz Personnel for an additional fee of US$5 per day, but not more than US$30 for the entire rental period per each driver. However, in the case that the rented vehicle is driven by an additional driver, the Renter remains responsible for all rental related expenses. Any Renter under the influence of alcohol or drugs cannot be authorized for vehicle rental. Alternatively, we may offer our chauffeur service upon availability.
Method of Payment
- Hertz Armenia accepts all major credit cards as a method of payment for the Rental: AMEX, VISA, , Eurocard/Mastercard. A minimum deposit is authorized on the Renter's account to guarantee payment. Two credit cards of different systems are required for renting certain vehicle categories. Hertz Armenia does'nt accept cash payment. A bank transfer payment may be accepted pending approval of the Station Manager. Payments are made in AMD (Armenian Drams) at the official exchange rate of The Central Bank of Armenia on the next working day following the vehicle return. The exchange rate may differ from the one used by a customer's bank (Customer's credit card company), as billing is made at a later date.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) and Theft Protection (TP)
- By purchasing this optional service (if not already included in tariff) the Renter significantly limits his/her financial responsibility for damage, loss or theft of the rented vehicle. The Renter could be fully released from responsibility in case of collision/damage of the vehicle if the Renter accepts SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver). This is not insurance. In case this service was declined (if not included in the Tariff) the Renter becomes fully responsible for any damage to the vehicle, irrespectively of who was at fault, including total cost of repair or replacement of the vehicle (or its parts) in case of theft or total loss as the result of an accident. The cost of repair or replacement includes the cost of spare parts, work, loss of use, towing, storage and administration charges.
Collection and Delivery

Delivery of the vehicle must be requested in advance. For vehicle delivery the Renter must provide his credit card type, number and expiration date at the time of reservation. The collection of rental vehicle after working hours or beyond the authorized location must be arranged at leased 24 hours in advance. At time of reservation the Renter must specify the place of delivery/collection (hotel, office, etc.), street address and telephone number. Confirmation of delivery is subject to Hertz authorization. The following delivery/collection charges are applicable in addition to Hertz's standart fees:
Pickup/return at Hertz downtown office after normal business hours
19:00 - 23:00 5000 AMD
23:00 - 07:00 10 000 AMD
07:00 - 09:00 5000 AMD
Delivery/collection within city limits during business hours- 5000 AMD
Delivery/collection within city limits after business hours- 10 000 AMD
Delivery/collection beyond city limits- additional 200 AMD per km.
Delivery Collection from the airport

No-Show Fee
- The No-Show fee is applicable if the rental vehicle is to be delivered/collected at the airport. The following No Show fee will apply

Airport Service Charge
- An additoinal fee of 10 000 AMD per rental period, applies for rentals starting at airport location. In this case, no delivery/collection charges shall apply.
Refuelling
- All vehicles are provided to the Renter with the full tank of gasoline and are to be returned full. In case the vehicle is returned with less than a full tank of gasoline a refueling service charge of US$1.49 per liter shall apply. This charge is not sale of fuel.
Taxes
- All above mentioned rates and fees are inclusive of taxes.
